Jonah Brenner

STUDENT MINISTRY DIRECTOR

Jonah was born into a Christian family and came to faith at a young age. Ever since, his faith has been a journey of watching God use ordinary things in extraordinary ways.

Originally from northern New Mexico, Jonah first felt called to ministry in high school. He attended college in Albuquerque before coming to call California home. In college, he served in summer camp and wilderness ministries, but always knew that he wanted to serve the local church. Because of this, and upon graduating from the University of New Mexico, Jonah moved to San Diego to pursue an MDIV at Westminster Seminary California, where he currently studies.

Jonah has a passion for making sense of the Bible in the life and faith of others, especially students. As Student Ministry Director, he oversees ministry for 6th-12th graders. He organizes student events as well as leading and teaching in various discipleship opportunities.

 Jonah enjoys playing outside on skis, bikes, and boards, as well as tinkering on anything unfortunate enough to fall into his hands. He has a passion for learning, stories, and people, and loves a good burrito.
