Allison Vandewarker

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY DIRECTOR

Allison grew up in a Christian home, and has been involved in church since childhood. Although she had a true faith in Christ, it was legalistic and immature until her 20’s when the reality of grace and her own weaknesses became undeniable. 

Allison grew up in beautiful Escondido, but left San Diego to study literature at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. After college, she returned home where she met and married Jason Vandewarker, and has been living in Escondido ever since. She and her family have been a part of Trinity since the beginning, and during Covid, she realized it was time to return to vocational ministry, so she has been serving as Children’s Director ever since. As a person who puts the extra in extrovert, she really loves getting to know the families, and building relationships with the kids and parents. 

At Trinity, she oversees children’s ministry, and is directly responsible for curriculum and scheduling of preschool through 5th grade. In addition, she oversees the Junior Leader program, which gives older students the opportunity to serve the church by helping with kids ministry. 

When not at Trinity, she is enrolled in seminary at Pacific Theological Seminary, and is loving learning more about her faith. She also spends a lot of time hanging out with her three kids and two dogs.
